Reporting an error in a calculation

This is the most valuable message you can send us. To let us investigate quickly, please include the page you were on, the exact inputs you entered, the result you got and the result you expected. We will check it against our test suite, correct the engine if it is wrong, and note the change on the page and in our editorial policy record.

Requesting a calculator

We keep a running list of tools to build, and reader requests carry real weight in ordering it. Tell us the question you are trying to answer rather than the tool you think you need — the question is usually more useful.

What we cannot help with

We cannot answer questions about your personal situation, tell you whether to buy or sell something, review your portfolio or recommend funds. This is not reluctance: providing personalised investment advice is a regulated activity in India and we are not registered to do it. For advice on your own circumstances, speak to a SEBI-registered investment adviser.
