Calculator inputs never leave your browser

Every calculation on this site runs locally in your browser using JavaScript. Your age, income, savings, expenses and every other figure you enter are processed on your own device and are never transmitted to our servers, because there is no server-side processing of them at all.

To make returning to a calculator useful, we save your last set of inputs in your browser's local storage. This data stays on your device, is readable only by this site, and is deleted permanently when you clear your browser data. There is no account system on this site and nothing to sign up for.

What we do collect

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand which pages and calculators are used, how visitors arrive, and where the site is failing them. This collects standard technical information such as approximate location derived from IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed and time on site. We use it in aggregate; we do not attempt to identify individual visitors and we do not combine it with anything you type into a calculator.

Advertising

This site is funded by display advertising served by Google AdSense and its partners. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this and other sites.

You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings, or opt out of third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info. Opting out means you will still see ads, but they will be less relevant to you.

Server logs

Our hosting provider keeps standard access logs, including IP addresses and request details, for security and operational purposes.

What we do not do

• We do not sell your personal information.
• We do not send your calculator inputs anywhere.
• We do not require an account, email address or phone number.
• We do not send marketing emails, because we do not collect email addresses.
• We do not pass your details to financial product providers, distributors or lead-generation firms.

Cookies

Cookies used on this site fall into two groups: analytics cookies set by Google Analytics, and advertising cookies set by Google AdSense and its partners. There are no cookies required for the calculators to function — those use local storage, which is not transmitted with requests.

You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Doing so will not affect the calculators.

Children

This site is intended for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Your choices and rights

You can clear stored calculator inputs at any time by clearing your browser's site data, or by using the "reset" control inside each calculator. You can opt out of analytics using a browser extension or privacy setting, and out of personalised advertising via the links above.

Depending on where you live you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information held about you. Because we do not operate accounts or collect identifying details, we typically hold nothing that would identify you. If you have a question about this, write to hello@altinvest.in.

Changes to this policy
